The successful applicant must have a degree in power line training from a technical college. Duties will include the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution lines. Position requires heavy lifting, climbing, and other strenuous activities. A CDL is required. EOE.

North West REC is currently looking for a full-time apprentice or journeyman power line worker for our Le Mars Service Center. North West REC is a rapidly growing rural electric cooperative in a progressive community with numerous amenities.

The successful applicant must have a degree in power line training from a technical college. Duties will include the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution lines. Applicants should be able to operate basket trucks, digger derricks, and related equipment. Position requires heavy lifting, climbing, and other strenuous activities. A CDL is required. Technology Intern Overview

  • Assists with configuring new computers
  • Assists with troubleshooting computers, iPads, servers, and the network
  • Assists with installing software and updates
  • Assists with administrating Hyper-V servers
  • Assists with Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) trial project
  • Assists with backups
  • Assists with Active Directory and firewall administration

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows Server
  • Basic networking knowledge
  • Knowledge of iPads
  • Good communication skills
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Attention to detail
