Gaylen Schneider, a member service personell talks to our local school kids about dangers and ways to stay safe.

The staff at North West REC cares about the safety of our members and others. We recognize that electricity can be dangerous if not used properly. We also know that it's easy to forget just how dangerous electricity can be, because we use it all the time in so many ways. That's why we offer safety demonstrations to classrooms and also to adults through civic and other organizations. We attempt to teach safe habits and share what we know about the power of electricity.

Our member service personnel and linemen present safety programs throughout our four-county service area when requested, and have taught concepts of electric safety to hundreds of children and adults each year. In the photos, above and below, Gaylen Schneider and Rob Driesen, Member Service personnel, provide a high voltage demonstration to explain the dangers of electricity.
